Promises
August 30, 2009Although most days I am taking pictures of people…mostly little people, lately I have been trying to take the time to snap a photo or two of something that gave me a little inspiration…a little insight into God’s beauty or a promise that He has given me. There are so many and the older I get the more I let life get in the way and the promises slip to the back of my mind and yet they are there new every morning…I hope you don’t mind indulging me…
This first one was taken a couple of days ago while I was out scouting with a friend and fellow photographer…I loved the way the sun was peeking over the corn.

This next one was taken at a wedding…this knocker was on the door into the Bride’s dressing room…(speaking of that…look for photos from that wedding this next week I will finally be blogging about it - I got to tag along with my same girlfriend, Erin and second shoot this wedding - so fun!!)

I hope that you have an amazing Sunday!! I know that I am cherishing the weekends now that my oldest is off to kindergarten during the week!! We have declared all Friday nights as official “movie nights” - yesterday was our second official one!! I love just laying on the couch with my hubby and kiddos - even if they are jumping on us throughout the movie. By the way we started off the night watching “Air Buddies” and my littlest one who is in love with her puppy cousin, Nala (she is a golden retriever puppy belonging to my youngest brother Josh & his wife Becca - she is the cutest ever), thought that she was the star of the show…and repeatedly kept pointing and saying “Nanee” which is what she calls her beloved puppy cousin! I just loved it!! Second movie of the night was the “Discovery Channel Shark Week Special”. I know some of you must be appalled that I would let me two older children watch this scary stuff, but seriously they pick it out and they LOVE it and no they don’t have nightmares from it!! Most children go to the animated cartoon section at the video store…no mine go to the wildlife/nature section. I love that they have a love for God’s creation and an interest in what He has made!! I don’t want to steer them in another direction and it gives us lots of opportunities to share and talk about all sorts of things related to the love of nature and creatures!!
Well, I will leave you with one more image…one of my oldest I took just a couple of days before he started kindergarten (I lost the images of him actually on his first day of school…I will tell you about that later). He looks so big to me…he told me right before we left for school the first day, “Mom, I am going to miss you so much when I am at school.” {sigh…tears…”me too buddy”}

Goodnight…Thanks for letting me share a little about me, my life & my family.
