I am so excited for Cheryl & Patrick to welcome TWIN GIRLS in the early fall.  They are two of the sweetest, kind and genuine people I know.  They are going to be amazing parents!!  I have photographed Cheryl several times as she is one of the Dollies at DollyRockers (and my Gracie’s hairdresser, for those of you that love her sweet bob, Cheryl is responsible for that!).  I have never seen Cheryl so relaxed in front of the camera…she exemplifies the true pregnancy glow…you can see it all over her face.  Pregnancy just plain looks good on her! 

I loved her ideas for their maternity session…I have to say my favorite set of pictures was at the end in the pool!!  So, fun.

This spring was crazy with weddings.  In May alone I shot three of my own weddings and second shot three for Erin.  I don’t recommend shooting SIX weddings in a month, but amazingly it was SO MUCH fun and I survived!!  (Side note…shooting most of these six with one of your best friends makes it super fun too)

Ashley & Anthony have been waiting for this day a long time and I was honored to be able to capture their amazing day.  My sweet friend, Amanda, who is married to Anthony’s cousin, Jon told Ashley that she had a friend (me) that she thought would be perfect for her wedding day.  Well, as soon as Ashley and I chatted on the phone it was a perfect fit for us both.  Ashley & Anthony were both so relaxed about the wedding and just so excited to share this day with their family and friends.  It was warm outside that day and I was a little concerned about it, but everyone was super troopers!!

Let’s start with this gorgeous wedding party, in particular the handsome groomsmen & groom…we were able to get the guy’s pictures done before the ceremony.  There were lots of laughs and maybe a little inappropriate touching amongst themselves, but boys will be boys.  I was quite thrilled that we were able to get one serious one out of the bunch.

The song that needs to be playing for the next two posts is Today was a Fairytale by Taylor Swift.  Everything about Jaimie & Mike’s day was just that, a sweet fairytale.

I have known Jaimie for quite a while as an amazing stylist at DollyRockers Salon.  I had the privilege of photographing her & Mike’s engagement pictures last year and have photographed Jaimie for work as well.  Can I just say that the camera loves her?  I don’t think she can take a bad picture if she tried.  She was relaxed and all smiles on her BIG day and I was so honored to be part of both her and Mike’s wedding.  A huge THANK YOU to my partner in crime…Erin, I love doing weddings with you!!

Noelle & Josh tied the know last month and every detail was just perfect.  Noelle told me that she was going with a vintage burlesque themed wedding and I loved all the personal touches she did to everything.  The day had a few road bumps, but Noelle & Josh were so calm and relaxed that they didn’t let anything change their excitement of their day.  I enjoyed every part of their day and was honored to document this amazing day.

Michelle Zeller was responsible for Noelle’s fabulous hair and Ashley Ridley for her amazing make-up.

Well, the truth is, Josh & Noelle aren’t actually engaged anymore…they’re MARRIED!!  :)  AND I am just finishing up with the editing from their wedding a few short weeks ago and as I was pulling out the photos to blog I realized that I never posted they’re engagement session.  This session was too cute to not blog and apparently I was in a fog in February when we shot these and just completely spaced.  Just love this sweet couple and the first thing we did for the engagement session is get coffee…I knew it was a match made in heaven!!  Can’t wait to post their wedding day this week, but in the meantime here is some favorites from their engagement session…

I loved every thought that went into the engagement session…wait till you see the beautiful details of the wedding, I was blown away, Noelle has an eye for the details.

It’s a strange thing to watch these kids get ready to graduate.  It really feels like they were just in grade school.  Tanen is such a pleasure to be around…he is genuine, respectful, kind and a little bit of goofy in there too.  He is ultra talented in so many things and I know the Lord has big plans for him.  Tanen will be headed out with one of his best friends in September for the Coast Guard.  I am fairly certain that for parents this is one of the hardest things EVER.  Your first one stepping out into the world…proud parents with prayers of all they hope for on their tongues.

Congratulations, Tanen.  Your parents are already so proud of you and you are going to make all of us and our country proud too.

We will be praying for you and your new adventure.

The color for the Mustang is up in the air…white?  blue?  and how about racing stripes?

This family is getting it right.  Raising kids is hard work, day in and day out and they are intentionally raising kids that are sweet, kind, respectful and fun!!  I have known this family for quite some time and have spent time with some of them individually, but this was my first time hanging with them as a whole.  They were so fun and we spent most of the time laughing (thank you, Reese!).  We did both a family session out at Lake Pleasant and some of Tanen’s senior pictures too, which I will post tomorrow.  It was a beautiful day out and the water was crystal clear.  Although I was fairly sure Reese would have taken a dip, we decided we should stay dry for the pictures.

I always love doing this with this kids…ha!!
