It was a gorgeous day for photographing when I met Marissa for her portraits.  We started with some fun in a half vacant building complex and ended up with some green in the Arizona desert.  Yes, there is green out there when we have some beautiful rain!!  It’s teasing us today with this crazy wind and a few drops here and there, but as a photographer I am praying for rain…sure makes for great color in pictures when we have more than tumbleweeds blowing about.

Marissa had her hair done at DollyRockers in Anthem, by my amazing friend, Jaimie.  Girls, if you are spending the money to have custom senior portraits, it makes a HUGE difference to spend a little more on your hair & makeup.  There is a confidence that comes when you know you’ve got that part nailed.  It truly shows in your photographs.

Marissa…you are stunning and you hit it out of the park.

When people ask me “What is your favorite type of shoot?”  My answer is EVERYTHING simply because I do love shooting pretty much everything, well people wise anyway.  I go back and forth on specializing in a certain area, but I just haven’t been able to do that quite yet.  Want to know why for the three plus people that read my blog (Hi Erin & Doni – and darn you two already know!)  It’s because I LOVE people and relationships.  Are their certain sessions that I enjoy just a little more creatively, ya, but it never beats the people that I get to know shooting all sorts of sessions!!

So, saying all that…seniors are those certain sessions that I enjoy creatively just a little bit more!!  Andrea is most obviously a beautiful gal, but super smart too.  So, smart that I Facebook stalked her recently and saw that she is headed to Ohio State after graduation.  Go Buckeyes!

Congratulations Andrea…I hope that you have an AMAZING time at Ohio State.

Here’s to all your dreams coming true, Andrea!!

Meet Lauren…my Carrie Underworld look-a-like, right??  She is absolutely stunning and we had so much fun with her and her lovely mom at her shoot.  I LOVE it when mom is their kiddos biggest fan…seriously makes my day!!

Oh this sweet and beautiful girl.  Those of you that know her…know that this girl is the real deal.  100% beauty inside & out.  I seriously wanted to take her home with me and claim her as my long lost little sister!! 

She will be moving out of state to head to college at the end of summer, so excited to see what the Lord has for her as she takes the next step in her life journey.

Loved that this lady knew exactly the locals that would work for her.  She had the best outfits too!!  Loved spending time with her and her parents, they seriously are the sweetest!!!  We had to seriously book it from downtown Phoenix back up to some fun desert, but we made it just in time!!
