Charlene + Curtis…married

December 29, 2009

Charlene and Curtis had crossed paths for several years before they dated.  Life circumstances takes you here and there, but funny how it brings people back into your life when the time is right.  They met at church events…sometimes watching old movies.  Charlene knew that Curtis was special.  He was committed to God and he was committed to his family, his kids.  This was one of the many things that attracted her to him.  He is a true “southern gentleman” accent and all.  He opens the door for her, he is attentive, sincere, and honest.  They truly enjoy just being around one another.  Life has thrown them a few curve balls already and yet they hold onto their relationship to the Lord and to each other.  They have a wonderful life ahead that is already blooming.  It was such a sweet blessing to be part of their wedding day.  Charlene looked radiant…Curtis was all smiles.  Thank you both for letting me be a part of your day.  I have enjoyed the relationship with you that has followed.  May God bless you both as you venture out in a new place together…Congratulations.

Now I can breathe again…

December 28, 2009

Well…this fall season for photography was so packed that after it was over I had to take a couple of weeks to just breathe.  Wow!  I have been blessed with this business in so many ways and this season that was very apparent to me.  I met some amazing families, was part of beautiful weddings, got to hold precious newborns, and celebrate adoptions & engagements!  So, now that I am taking my own mini vacation to look on towards 2010 and set some goals and boundaries and just refresh; I realize that my blog has been sadly neglected.  It has almost been TWO months dare I say that I have posted.  Seriously, where does the time go anyway?  Well, the last two weeks have gone to Christmas parties, birthday parties (mine, my hubby’s, little brothers, and dad’s all the week of Christmas - crazy!!), the flu bug (yuck!), shopping, watching movies, snuggling, drinking hot cocoa, reading the Christmas story, celebrating Jesus’ birthday, Thanking God He sent His Son for Me - Amen, talking with friends, spending time with family, hugging my kids, kissing my husband (of ten years next month - yeah!), crying, laughing, sleeping, sharing the news of a new baby on the way :), spending Christmas at the Fire Station with Daddy, & lots more, and the best part is that it isn’t over.  But it is time to give some love to all my clients who have patiently waited to have a blog post of their family, wedding, or precious newborn.  So, the next few weeks will be jammed with lots and lots of posts…starting tomorrow!!  I hope that your Christmas was wonderful and joyous.  I hope that you have high hopes as we head into 2010.  I hope you take the time to not only reflect on the year past, but get excited about the one to come!!

Before I go…here are my kiddos with their two cousins on my side of the family…this is what Grandma & Grandpa L. got for Christmas in a great big canvas thanks to my friend Leslie with Heritage Makers.  They were thrilled.
