You figure if you schedule your session in mid-October in Phoenix that you probably have nice weather.  Well, unfortunately this time of year tends to yield wacky weather at times.  This shoot was the HOT weekend in October…but we survived!!  :)  You just never know what you are going to get this time of year, but I will admit that I am enjoying my window open as I write this post with a chilly breeze blowing though.  The B Family really wanted to capture candid pictures of them and their sweet little guy, Carson…who was turning ONE the very next day!!  We captured some great ones…I love his beautiful brown eyes!!  Here are some of my favorites…

Can I say again that I love this photography gig??!!  Our friends’, A & M welcomed Miss Sadie into the world two weeks ago!!  She is such a beautiful little girl with the most perfectly round little noggin!!  As sweet as she is I have to tell you that she wins the prize for most peeing and pooing on a session and she did all of it on her wonderful Mama!!  :)  It is always such a sweet pleasure to photograph my friends’ families and new little ones…really a joy!!  M is an awesome photographer herself you can check her out here.

My family and I traveled up north this last weekend to hang out with friends and take some pictures.  We have been blessed to be part of the L family’s life for the last ten years!!  God’s timing is always perfect.  A and I worked together at Claim Jumper ten years ago and we both got engaged about a month from each other.  We connected because of engagement & work, but quickly found out that we both had lots more than that in common including a love for Jesus.  Well, long story short…we got married 5 months apart from each other, G was an awesome support to my hubby getting on the fire department where he was already a firefighter, our kiddos are all just a couple of months apart from each other and we have been blessed big time to have them all in our lives!!  I always count it a privilege to photograph my friends as their families grow and through their seasons of life.  We were up in Munds Park for their session which was awesome to see the trees changing colors and the leaves on the ground!!  Just beautiful!!  Thanks for having us up guys…love you!  Here are a few of my favorites of our time together!!

This one of Miss Addison may look like different scenery than the rest…we had to do this picture in Phoenix because it was too chilly up north, but we needed at least one with her in an adorable petty skirt!! 

This little girl is really loved on by her brothers…sometimes the squeezes are a little tight, but one day she is going to LOVE their big brother protection…or not - hee hee!!

A & H came to my home yesterday for a mini maternity…I am so excited to meet their little boy due next month!!  I can’t even believe that I was able to edit their session & post to the blog in one day!!  This will never happen again…haha!!  This weekend kicked off a whirlwind for the next two months of lots of families getting their pictures done!  I am totally excited for a crazy few months as we fly into the holidays!!

I LOVE this last image!!

I love my amazing job of being a wife & mommy, but I am so blessed to have this photography gig too for so many reasons!!  One…it is such a small world!  When I got to this shoot and was talking to L about working for Scottsdale Fire and making connections with people we both know…the fire community is small in itself, but then…K turns around and says I think we went to the same high school.  Haha!!  Yes, we did!!  She graduated the same year as one of my brothers!!  I love this job!!  Crazy small world…I love it!!

Well, let’s get back to the star of the show…first of all I am in love with this little guy’s name.  I may be a little partial, I was born in Stockton!!  Is it such a strong name!!  He is definitely going to be a cowboy like his Daddy!!  His middle name is one that has been passed on from generations before…I love that.  He was such a good little guy throughout our shoot and once he was asleep he let us move him here & there without a peep!  We did our entire shoot outside which living in Phoenix is so doable!!  The light is amazing first of all and the babies seem to just love being outdoors!!  I had such a wonderful time with this sweet family.  Stockton is truly a gift that was long in the waiting…Congrats on a beautiful boy!!

Say a prayer for this little man…he had a rough week with an ear infection!!  K & L, I had such a wonderful time with your family.  Thank you Mary for being my wonderful assistant!!  I’ll be praying for all of you through the week!!  Blessings!

This sweet family does my heart good.  G has been such an amazing friend to me…a wonderful encourager.  When I have had a bad day I know I can call her and she will lift my spirits.  I have been blessed to be part of this family in their journey of pregnancy, welcoming their bouncing baby boy & now celebrating his one year birthday!  I can’t even believe where the time has gone.  This year has been one change, but God knows best.  G was blessed beyond measure to have God make a decision for their family and allow her to stay home with their sweet little man.  It’s hard work, but I know that she is loving every minute of it!!  She also got another great opportunity of beginning another adventure of starting a business from home working with a stellar company.  Check out her blog!!  Her hubby is a fantastic pro golfer and has a busy schedule this time of year, but his family is at the top.  If you love golf check out B’s site.  Jayden is such a sweet little dude!!  Once he started walking he is hard to stop…there was lots to see during out shoot and he was checking it all out!!  I love his inquisitive looks that are just plain him!!  I love how his eyes light up…such beautiful blues!!  I sure love you guys and love that I get to capture your family’s journey…here are some of my faves from our time together…

I posted a picture a few weeks ago of my family…it was a silhouette that my sweet friend, Natalie took!!  I wanted a picture like this to have printed & stretched onto canvas.  Well, I received it this last week and I LOVE it!!!  If you have never thought about having a canvas print done for your family…you must!!  They are absolutely fantastic.  Here is the goods on the one that I had printed…canvas is 16×24, it is stretched onto a frame with a 1.5″ depth…you can get it less thick or more.  It has the hardware installed on the back so that you can just hang it right on the wall…and it has a dustcover sprayed onto the canvas for protection.  I seriously just LOVE it!!!  Here are a few images.

I still need to paint the wall that this will be going on…but when I do I will post a picture of that as well!!  Hope you have a great weekend!!
